Today we planted a tree guard given to us to trial by Gill from Gwlangollen. The guard is made from 100% welsh Balwen wool from a local farm in Llangollen.
The wool has been skirted, cleaned, washed, picked and carded by hand prior to wet felting at a Gwlangollen workshop as part of a women in agriculture course. The tabs were further reinforced by needle felting.
The tree and guard will be monitored regularly, lets see how it survives in Anglesey!
