The support we offer ranges from free wool testing service for farmers in order to allow them to identify the value of their wool and how to improve it, to providing scoping studies that identify and investigate obstacles or challenges within the business supply chain.
The project also offers learning experiences through workshops, site visits and training events as well as offering stakeholders various networking opportunities to expand their working network through our Wool Cluster Group.

Made with Wool helps people and businesses along the wool supply chain by collecting new ideas on topics that present barriers for business development within the sector. The project will then aim to help find or provide a solution to these challenges through a range of possible methods ranging from networking, feasibility studies, connecting to business support services or scoping studies. The findings of scoping studies will be disseminated and shared amongst the Wool Cluster Group members as well as other stakeholders in order to benefit all stakeholders within the Welsh Wool industry.
The project had a fund of £30,000 that has been set aside for this service. We have estimated supporting up to 10 scoping studies during the lifetime of the project i.e. approx. £3,000 per scoping study, with the expectation that costs will vary depending on the needs of each project.
You can find out more about the criteria and process of our scoping studies here. (Welsh Version Here)
